PHP Developer

Ensight is a leading software as a service company, offering multi-channel marketing solutions to medium/large sized businesses. The company is looking to expand and has opened up roles for skilled web software developers with specialisation and experience in PHP/Javascript/AJAX development.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about coding and working in a team environment. Day to day functions will include interacting with clients, designing custom solutions and developing using the Ensight Framework API. Experience working in a similar environment, and in other PHP framework environments would be beneficial. You should also be fully conversant in Web 2.0 concepts, with a deep understanding of the "cloud", mashups and public APIs. You should also be prepared to work in an agile development environment where ongoing testing and enhancements are part of the process.

Minimum skills required:

• PHP 5+ must have a good understanding of OO principles
• Database development using MySQL and SQL Server
• Basic understanding of Linux command line and shell scripting
• Diploma or Degree would be advantageous
• 3 years experience
• AJAX/Advanced Javascript and DOM model engineering, both with and without the assistance of frameworks
• XHTML / CSS styling and page layout, both with and without the use of frameworks
